Set amidst fir trees, in the district of Mesaia Trikala Korinthias, the stone-built Archontiko Fiamegou features an elegantly decorated bar-restaurant with fireplace and offers free Wi-Fi in public areas. It also includes a wellness centre with sauna and massage facilities.
Fitted with stone walls and dark-wooden or wrought-iron beds, the traditionally decorated rooms and suites of Fiamegou enjoy views over the garden and Mount Ziria. Archontiko Fiamegou is located 120 km from Athens and 25 km from Xilokastro Korinthias. Several activities, such as walks, picnics and skiing, can be enjoyed in the surrounding area. The lakes of Doxa and Dasiou can be found within a short drive. Driving up from Xilokastro, heading for Trikala Korinthias and passing through olive tree groves and vines, you will find the villages of Riza, Pellini, Dentro and Rethi. 25 km away are the districts of Kato, Mesaia and Ano Trikala.
The name Trikala seems to derive from the 3 positive aspects of the region:

- Vines that are made into excellent wine.
- Plenty of natural water sources with distinctive flavour.
In the centre of Kato Trikala, you will see a stony square accompanied with 200-year-old plane trees. The taverns offer traditional dishes made from local produce, as well as good wine from the vineyards of the region.
Going up the Mesaia Sinikia of Trikala, you will enjoy the amazing and panoramic view of the Korinthian Mountains. The fair that takes place in the village on 6 August is very famous for the Metamorphosis of Saviour feast. Dances and songs begin on the feast's eve in the evening and continue all day long up to the next morning.
Continuing your way upwards, you will find Ano Trikala, or ‘Archontomahalas’ as it was called during the Ottoman occupation. It was the residence of the noble family of Notaradon, who settled at Trikala in the beginning of 16th century. Today, you can see the Tower of Notaradon and the deserted mansion of Dasaion. On the mansion’s door is a sign reading ‘1806 May 1, this house was built by the architect Konstantinos Solioti’.
