Founded in 1891, Skansen is one of Stockholm's best attractions. See the 150 houses and farms across Sweden gathered here. There is also a zoo, a miniature Skansen and summer shows, as well as traditional Swedish festivals, themed days and the famous Christmas market.
The museum consists of a very large and green expanse of land, where there are many houses, flora and fauna of the country. It is located on the island of Djurgarden, occupying much of it.
As there is also one of Stockholm's few hills in the museum, we can find some points to enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the city.
