The Pedro Ludovico Teixeira Museum is the former home of Pedro Ludovico Teixeira, responsible for the construction of Goiânia. Listed by the State Historical Patrimony, it has been a museum since 1987 and is located in the city center.



On the site, there are several objects by Ludovico, among his private library, original documents, clothing, among others.



The Art-Deco architecture, in vogue at the time, marks the building preserved until today, as its owner left it.

Listed by the State Historical Heritage, it was transformed into a museum in 1987. Distributed throughout the residence is the collection, consisting of 1836 pieces. They are porcelain, furniture, clothing, crystals and objects for personal use. Two thousand books and eight hundred original documents dated from the twenties to the seventies, make up Pedro Ludovico's private library. The iconographic collection contains one thousand, one hundred and forty-two photos, forming an important historical record.

There is also another library, Antônio Borges Teixeira, who, with his two hundred and seventy-eight books, tells the story of Goiânia and the state. The Museum has recently undergone extensive renovations, however, preserving its entire collection. The space allows historians, students, intellectuals, researchers, journalists and onlookers to make a foray into the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s.
